Responsibilities

IDEMIA is digitizing identity by delivering strong proofing including integrating with systems of record, in order to deliver personalized and enhanced user experiences both online and in-person utilizing the power of mobile IDs on smart devices and other credentials.

 

As Senior Director, Product Management within the Public Security North America (PSNA), you will lead a regional team to document key market segments, customer business and technical environments, as well as end-to-end use cases, to help define and validate new US and Canadian product requirements for the IDEMIA digital identity platform and associated products and solutions. We are looking for a candidate with initiative and a strong creative mindset who can successfully collaborate with members within global product management and engineering, user experience and interface design, documentation, as well as coordinate interfaces with platform services, customer support, solution architecture, marketing, sales, business development and other areas of the PSNA.

 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure market and customer targets aligns to overall strategic vision, business plans and budget by working with executive leadership across the PSNA organization and coordinating with the global product management team for the digital identity platform.
  • Build financial model to track product IRAD investment, margin and ROI.
  • Ensure IRAD project selection and prioritization processes maximize the ROI for our IRAD investment.
  • Own and lead the New Product Introduction (NPI) process for their solution portfolio and ensure team adherence to the process.
  • Address critical success factors, financial objectives, pricing strategies and key issues in determining which products and solutions to bring to market.
  • Work closely with business analysts, product managers, product owners, user experience, as well as solutions and software architects to identify and document features and enhancements for key market segments, use cases or specific customers.
  • Work with user experience and user interface (UX/UI) to create designs and validate features as they are built to ensure they adhere to market and customer needs.
  • Oversee and coordinate regional platform implementation and product launch activities, including as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), in cooperation with product owners and engineering, product marketing, sales and business development, customer support and platform services.
  • Oversee and coordinate regional SaaS platform implementation certification initiatives (e.g. SOC2, FedRAMP, etc.) and cross-platform integration and harmonization initiatives.
  • Oversee product training for business analysts, solutions and software architects, customer support, marketing, platform services, and sales and business development personnel.
  • Support strategic customer meetings and presentations delivering product knowledge and roadmap information and identifying market and customer needs.
  • Contribute to and approve product content and graphics used for marketing, sales and business development, and solution design activities.
  • Participate in release-planning activities including researching and prioritizing features in conjunction with the global product management and product ownership team.
  • Influence strategic direction and product design of the core digital identity platform, connectors, and gateways across enterprise, government and consumer applications that address business, brand, and user requirements.
  • Manage the related budget as well as associated development efforts.
  • Provide recommendations for product and solution strategies for tradeshows and demonstrations.
  • Share knowledge and contribute ideas to enrich IDEMIA culture across all product teams.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 10 years’ experience working in the identity and/or security industry
  • Experience working in or leading product management organizations
  • Experience with server-side products and web services in the identity and/or security industry
  • Experience with mobile and web identity products
  • Well versed in matching business needs with solution concepts and product features
  • Strong verbal and written communicator with executive management
  • Proven as a technically progressive thinker and innovator of ideas
  • Experience with products developed using Agile methodologies
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills
  • Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of business processes and product development
  • Team player, comfortable with rapid iteration Agile processes and working within a fast-paced team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical discipline
  • Experience with digital identity, proofing, mobile ID, biometric, SDK, and sample application products
  • Experience managing product and platform certifications for government and/or industry identity, security, and privacy standards and best practices
  • Proven leadership and team-building skills
  • Solid understanding of product risk estimation and mitigation as well as cost impacts and level of effort estimation
  • Ability to grasp multiple business process and product requirements and scope priorities and risks accordingly with careful attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and work within deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Ability to think horizontally and collaborate with teams to create a holistic customer solution
