Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables. 
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks to ensure successful project completion. 
  • Work in cooperation with technical project leaders and program managers to implement FISMA high solution. 
  • Be the prime key communicator between the internal security team members and the rest of the program and key customer contacts. 
  • Coordinate and participate in internal and external discussions regarding compliance with FISMA requirements. 
  • Manage coordination of closure of FISMA audit findings and ensure the tracking of the security technical team’s closure of items to satisfy FISMA requirements. 
  • Support and track the execution of security project plans to ensure timely effective implementation and communication of FISMA compliance initiatives and closure of audit findings. 
  • Prepare and submit regular reports to management and regulatory bodies, detailing the organization's FISMA compliance status. 
  • Help the organization move to the next level of maturity for FISMA. 

Qualifications

  • US citizenship
  • 8+ years proven experience as a Technical Project Leader.  
  • Responsiveness, excellent verbal and written communication, and keen interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and customers. 
  • Ability to provide leadership, apply strategic thinking, and employ high-level of proactiveness. 
  • In-depth knowledge of FISMA regulations, NIST standards, and other relevant cybersecurity frameworks. 
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field required. MBA a plus.
