Responsibilities

The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for providing overall management and direction for supply chain planning and buying teams with the overall goal of developing and maintaining an integrated “service-driven operation”. You will oversee the management of all activities involved in sourcing and procurement for I&S NA and planning activities predominantly focused on the CI Business Line. This includes coordination and collaboration with internal and external partners to include program, finance, and operations. A key focus on the position will also be the forecasting and accuracy management of I&S inventory as well as the responsibility of coordinating all key supply chain metrics with the wider supply chain team. The purpose of this position is to manage a distributed team of buyers and planners to ensure high level of quality support to the business while assisting to drive prioritized improvement projects to achieve annual cost, quality, delivery, and compliance targets. The Director of Supply Chain will manage accurate material forecasting along with timely requisition placement and supplier delivery follow up in order to achieve successful program and delivery execution. You will work closely with the purchasing and quality organizations to assist with key subcontract negotiations and provide overall supplier management to build and strengthen strong partnerships.  

 

Essential Job Functions include but are not limited to:

  • Align closely with internal sales, product management, engineering, quality, and program office teams to develop strategies and create proper requirements and flow downs for formal administration to the supply base.
  • Work closely with purchasing leads to evaluate capabilities of potential suppliers through proper vetting, source surveys, and supplier on site visits.
  • Support purchasing negotiations for long term pricing agreements with critical consumable, software and hardware partners, and suppliers.
  • Investigate, review, and recommend cost saving strategies that support company goals.
  • Develop, maintain, and report on critical supply chain KPIs and dashboards.
  • Provide material cost information in support of new business pricing proposals.
  • Perform similar work-related duties as assigned.
  • Negotiate cost reductions toward supply chain annual objectives.
  • Work closely with internal finance team to resolve invoice issues for on time payment.
  • Frequently communicate to internal team members with clear and concise material status information.
  • Attend program operation reviews and other key meetings to provide supply chain support.
  • Supply chain lead for internal and external audits.
  • Manage product end of life events.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with MRP tools (especially GP).
  • PC skills including spreadsheet software, word processing, and database management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be a sole US citizen, dual citizenship is not permitted.
