Responsibilities

The Production Coach will provide introduction and hands on training to team members who work on the pack line. Coaches are responsible for training the end-to-end process, Kanban principles, understanding inter department processes, walking trainees through designated learning programs and how to effectively run the equipment assigned. Coaches will ensure documentation is completed and maintained up to training completion and assist the Learning and Development Administrator in updating the learning system and work instructions as needed. Coaches will also be a critical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for their zone. Coaches are accountable for the trainees’ job proficiency as it relates to the training provided. 

  • Coaching and training production team members for their designated zone.
  • Complete coach learning programs.
  • Administer learning program to team members for their zone.
  • Administer final exam and sign off on team member training progress and proficiency at job duties.
  • Motivate and Encourage: Provide motivation and encouragement to trainees, helping them build confidence in their abilities and foster a positive learning environment.
  • Monitor Progress: Keep track of trainees' progress throughout the training period; adjust the training plan as needed to ensure they are meeting their goals.
  • Provide Feedback: Continuously assess trainees' performance and provide constructive feedback. Offer guidance on areas that need improvement and praise for accomplishments.
  • Adapt Training Methods: Adjust training methods as necessary to accommodate different learning styles and ensure that trainees are effectively absorbing the information.
  • Evaluate Training Effectiveness: Assess the overall effectiveness of the training program and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Evaluate Trainee Performance: Administer tests, quizzes, or practical assessments to evaluate trainees' comprehension and proficiency in their job tasks.
  • Assess Training Needs: Identify the specific skills and knowledge gaps that employees have and determine the training requirements for each individual or group.

Qualifications

  • Must be proficient in minimum of at least one machine within the zone
  • Must maintain satisfactory attendance
  • Must be proficient in written and spoken English
  • Must pass the precontrol assessment with 100% rating
  • Must be comfortable with technology
