Responsibilities

Overview: IDEMIA is looking for a local owner of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) application currently running in our Exton, PA manufacturing plant. Working closely with the IT business analysts for Idemia’s ERP (Microsoft D365) and Metier functions, the Product Owner will be accountable for the solution and define its improvement roadmap based on business requirements. The Product Owner/MES Key User will play a crucial role in optimizing manufacturing processes through the effective utilization of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).

 

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Exton shop floor for troubleshooting issues related to MES operation
  • Support MES end users/shop floor management with escalation of issues to the correct group – D365 key users, IT, MPDV
  • Create & maintain standard work, procedures and/or process flow maps for shop floor team on topics related to MES operation – in compliance with IDEMIA standards
  • Provide training to end-users and support management in conducting end user assessments as needed
  • Monitor shop floor data for completeness and accuracy – report KPIs to management
  • Work closely with Continuous Improvement team to implement corrective actions (QRCI) for issues in the shop floor
  • Coordinate all open support tickets with MPDV USA and provide regular updates to management on the status of items
  • Create and manage change requests (CR) needed to refine processes with new customizations in Hydra 8
  • Liaise with Exton IT and MPDV to manage system updates, test & release configuration changes and development of new functionalities, and support future expansion
  • Assist project team in the implementation of Phase 2 – machine data (MDE)

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Strong effective experience in managing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) implementation integrated to an ERP system - Deployment experience with Microsoft D365 will be a plus
  • Good knowledge with other manufacturing software development lifecycles and tools (WMS, SCADA,…)
  • Full professional Proficiency in English - Oral & Written
  • General understanding of optimization concepts and business processes used in planning and scheduling
  • Database knowledge and experience of writing simple SQL statements for data verification / troubleshooting or have the ability to learn SQL quickly
  • Project management skills, organized, fast learning traits and result oriented
  • Excellent ability to communicate across all the levels of organization (IT, management, non-technical team members…)

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in BI Report development
  • Knowledge in Automation & machine connectivity (PLC programming or IoT implementation)
  • Knowledge of smart card, Automotive or semiconductor industry is a plus
