Responsibilities

  • Responsible for analyzing product requirements and selecting hardware components based on those requirements.
  • Responsible for creating test plans and test reports for various hardware components.
  • Responsible for testing hardware components before handing off to SW development and QA teams.
  • Work with vendors to select next generation HW.
  • Work with vendors and supply chain to manage EOL HW.
  • Take products through FCC and safety regulatory testing.
  •  Generate ECOs/MCO/DEVs.
  • Work closely with the configuration management team and help update BOMs per new commodity code structure.
  • Engineering Escalations: Work with support to troubleshoot HW issues and configure systems to troubleshoot and re-create customer issues.
  • Troubleshoot HW issues found in the QA Lab.
  • Create documentation (i.e. HW MOPs) for internal use.
  • Work with Tech Pubs on customer documentation.
  • Set up test environments (printers, etc.) at contract manufacturers (CM) and guide them through the testing process.
  • Use oscilloscope to test/SI new products and to trouble shoot HW issues.
  • Go on vendor site visits to review new HW designs or trouble shoot issues.
  • Use schematic capture and layout tools to maintain designs developed in house.

**The US base salary range for this full-time position is $89,850 - $112,320 + bonus + benefits.  Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.  The range displayed on each job positing reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.  Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • Extensive knowledge with Agile PLM including BOM creation and ECO process.
  • Strong electrical design, hardware design, and test verification experience.
  • Regulatory text experience including SEC testing and safety certification testing.
  • Strong documentation skills including writing test reports, test plans, and specifications.
  • Good communication skills, ability to work cross functionally, and ability to multitask.
