Responsibilities

  • Performs work associated with the installation, calibration, and operation of different kinds of production machines, depending on company specialization or materials used.
  • Tests and inspects machines to determine safe and efficient operation, performs routine maintenance, and fixes standard malfunctions.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, engineering specifications, and shop orders to determine machine setup, production methods, and sequence of operation.
  • Checks that items produced pass quality control test.
  • Performs work under direct supervision.
  • Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.

Qualifications

  • Requires HS and 0-2 years.
  • Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.
