Responsibilities

The Purchasing Internship is one discipline of IDEMIA North America’s Summer Internship Program. Join the IDEMIA team to work on real-world projects in collaboration with key business leaders across the company. You will be empowered to build a community, explore your passion, and achieve your goals. It is a chance to work on problem sets across our North American teams and clients where you can see your ideas come to life.  

 

In this role, interns will be assigned to work within a team at IDEMIA to use their skills and experience garnered in the classroom on a wide variety of strategic and transformative projects aimed at developing successful business strategies and execution plans.The intern will assist with purchasing activities, supplier management, and process improvements while gaining a deep understanding of supply chain and procurement functions within a global company. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the procurement process, including preparing purchase orders, obtaining quotes, and manager supplier documentation.
  • Support supplier onboarding, contract reviews, and compliance checks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Monitor and analyze procurement metrics, such as cost savings and supplier performance.
  • Conduct research to identify potential suppliers and market trends.
  • Assist in developing and improving procurement processes, tools, and templates. 
  • Participate in supplier negotiations and build relationships with vendors.
  • Perform administrative tasks to support the purchasing team as needed.

Qualifications

Position Requirements: 

  • You are a rising junior, senior, master’s student, or recent undergraduate/graduate in a business related major
  • Must be authorized to work in the US
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Robust communication (written and verbal), collaboration, & problem-solving skills
  • Creative professional, empowered to bring bold ideas forward
  • Passion for problem solving 
  • 3.0 GPA or higher 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Competency or interest in the security and identity management space
  • Interest in procurement, supply chain management, or related field
