Responsibilities

  • Supervising Production Operations:

    • Overseeing day-to-day production activities to ensure that manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently.
    • Ensuring that production targets, timelines, and quality standards are met.
    • Monitoring and controlling the production process, identifying areas for improvement, and optimizing productivity.
  • Team Management:

    • Managing a team of workers, including assigning tasks, setting priorities, and monitoring work performance.
    • Providing training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and productivity.
    • Conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback for improvement.
  • Safety and Compliance:

    • Ensuring that safety standards and regulations are followed to maintain a safe work environment.
    • Implementing and enforcing safety protocols and responding to any incidents.
    • Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental, health, and safety standards.
  • Quality Control:

    • Overseeing the production of goods to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
    • Identifying defects or issues in the production process and taking corrective actions.
    • Conducting inspections and quality audits, as well as maintaining records of quality checks.
  • Resource Management:

    • Monitoring and managing resources such as machinery, and personnel to ensure the production process runs efficiently.
  • Reporting and Documentation:

    • Maintaining records of production data, such as production rates, downtime, and any quality issues.
    • Preparing daily, weekly, or monthly reports on production performance and presenting them to upper management.
    • Identifying trends in production and recommending improvements.
  • Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting:

    • Addressing any issues or challenges that arise during the production process, such as machinery malfunctions, delays, or resource shortages.
    • Identifying root causes of problems and implementing effective solutions.
  • Collaboration and Communication:

    • Communicating effectively with other departments (such as maintenance, engineering, and logistics) to ensure smooth operations.
    • Working closely with managers to align production goals with company objectives.

Qualifications

  • Experience required for at least two years in manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing.
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate and influence teams
  • Good communication skills: be able to run meetings/trainings, drive actions plans with many contributors
  • Good level competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively in a diverse multi-cultural team environment
  • English (read, written, spoken) mandatory. Spanish is a plus.
