Responsibilities
Supervising Production Operations:
- Overseeing day-to-day production activities to ensure that manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently.
- Ensuring that production targets, timelines, and quality standards are met.
- Monitoring and controlling the production process, identifying areas for improvement, and optimizing productivity.
Team Management:
- Managing a team of workers, including assigning tasks, setting priorities, and monitoring work performance.
- Providing training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and productivity.
- Conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback for improvement.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensuring that safety standards and regulations are followed to maintain a safe work environment.
- Implementing and enforcing safety protocols and responding to any incidents.
- Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental, health, and safety standards.
Quality Control:
- Overseeing the production of goods to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Identifying defects or issues in the production process and taking corrective actions.
- Conducting inspections and quality audits, as well as maintaining records of quality checks.
Resource Management:
- Monitoring and managing resources such as machinery, and personnel to ensure the production process runs efficiently.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintaining records of production data, such as production rates, downtime, and any quality issues.
- Preparing daily, weekly, or monthly reports on production performance and presenting them to upper management.
- Identifying trends in production and recommending improvements.
Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting:
- Addressing any issues or challenges that arise during the production process, such as machinery malfunctions, delays, or resource shortages.
- Identifying root causes of problems and implementing effective solutions.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Communicating effectively with other departments (such as maintenance, engineering, and logistics) to ensure smooth operations.
- Working closely with managers to align production goals with company objectives.
Qualifications
- Experience required for at least two years in manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing.
- Strong leadership skills to motivate and influence teams
- Good communication skills: be able to run meetings/trainings, drive actions plans with many contributors
- Good level competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively in a diverse multi-cultural team environment
- English (read, written, spoken) mandatory. Spanish is a plus.
