Responsibilities

We are seeking a mid-senior level architect who will be responsible for designing and developing the underlying architecture of a digital identity wallet system, ensuring secure storage, management, and sharing of personal information, credentials, and attributes, while adhering to industry standards and user privacy regulations; this role involves defining the technical framework, data models, security protocols, and integration points for a user-friendly digital identity wallet experience across various platforms and applications.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architecture Design: Create a comprehensive technical architecture for the digital identity wallet, including data structures, security mechanisms, user interface elements, and system integration points. Finish
  • Standards Compliance: Stay updated on relevant digital identity standards (e.g., ISO, W3C, OASIS, eIDAS etc.) and ensure the product design aligns with these standards. 
  • Security Implementation: Design robust security measures to protect sensitive user data within the wallet, including encryption, key management, access controls, and authentication protocols. 
  • Data Management: Define data models for storing and managing various identity attributes (e.g., personal details, credentials, certificates) within the wallet, considering data privacy and usage policies. 
  • User Experience Design: Collaborate with UX designers to create intuitive and user-friendly interactions within the digital identity wallet, considering accessibility and ease of use. 
  • Integration with Third-Party Systems: Design interfaces and APIs to enable seamless integration of the digital identity wallet with various external systems and services (e.g., government platforms, banking systems, healthcare providers). 
  • Proof of Concept Development: Build prototypes and proof-of-concept implementations to validate the architecture and functionality of the digital identity wallet. 
  • Technical Documentation: Create detailed technical documentation outlining the architecture, design decisions, and implementation details of the digital identity wallet. 
  • Representation: Represent Idemia at industry working groups, wallet partners and be comfortable to present our products and viewpoints in a concise manner. Be engaged with relevant standards bodies, industry groups, jurisdictional and other stakeholders. Provide strategic advice on standardization activities and trends, and their implications to project teams.

Qualifications

  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of cryptography, secure coding practices, distributed systems, blockchain technologies, and cloud computing platforms. 
  • Digital Identity Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of digital identity concepts, including interoperability, API standardization, attribute-based access control, identity verification, and credential management. 
  • System Architecture Design: Proven experience in designing and implementing complex software systems, including system architecture, data modeling, and API design. 
  • Security Standards: Knowledge of security standards and protocols such as ISO 18013 – mDL, oAUTH, OpenID DIDCOMM, W3C DID, AnonCreds, AAMVA, W3C Connect, SAML, CTAP, EACv2, and PKI. 
  • User-Centric Design: Ability to understand user needs and translate them into functional design elements within the digital identity wallets. 
  • Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams including developers, security experts, product managers, customers and other stakeholders.
