Responsibilities

About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented IT Field Support Intern to join our team in Exton, PA. This hands-on role is ideal for someone passionate about technology and eager to gain real-world experience in IT support, infrastructure, and system migration. The intern will assist with daily IT tasks and play a key role in a large-scale migration project, all while ensuring compliance with safety and security guidelines.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with layout changes, including relocating IT equipment and reconnecting hardware.
  • Perform network cabling work, including installations, re-routing, labeling, and testing connections.
  • Provide technical support for workstations, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Help with cable management and clean-up efforts to improve overall workspace organization.
  • Support the setup and configuration of laptops and desktop computers based on company standards.
  • Contribute to minor hardware repairs and upgrades as needed.
  • Participate in a key project to migrate 85 computers to Windows 10 LTSC, ensuring:
    • Pre-checks, backups, and validations are completed properly.
    • Transitions are smooth and aligned with business needs.
    • No disruption to ongoing operations.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with building PCs, troubleshooting hardware, or working on personal IT projects.
  • Basic knowledge of networking and operating systems, especially Windows 10.
  • Ability to follow structured procedures and checklists.
