Responsibilities

   (*Can be located remotely in California or Virginia* ) 

  • Timely analysis and reporting of financial information for assigned projects using GAAP and IFRS standards
  • Identifies and communicates monthly variances for both gross margin & revenue compared to prior month, forecast and budget
  • Review of journal entries and other month end close activities
  • Develops and maintains standardized reporting across all sub-business lines
  • Actively participates in P&L reviews
  • Utilizes effective listening skills in order to understand project requests and implement creative solutions to support project requests as well as identify and communicate problems in a diplomatic fashion to Management and Project Managers.
  • Ensures contract terms are followed in liaison with Senior Director, including the review of pricing prior to presentation to the customer
  • Participates in and coordinates monthly forecasts and annual budget with business line leadership and others on the Finance team

Note:  In addition to the Essential Functions, also performs similar work-related duties as assigned. Duties may change by direction of the Senior Director Finance

Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of US GAAP and IFRS
  • Previous experience providing financial support for US government customers and contracts a plus
  • Strong systems knowledge that includes advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of financial systems and reporting tools
  • Experience with monthly close process and working with Great Plains or similar ERP system required
  • Experience with Adaptive Insights a plus
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the finance and accounting teams and to partner with key business stakeholders
  • Ability to develop, analyze, report and interpret large data set on material, labor, travel, and other P&L expenses
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S
  • 5+ years of progressive experience working in accounting/finance
  • B.S. in Accounting, CPA and/or MBA a plus
  • Public accounting experience a plus

The US base salary for this full-time position is $120,0000 -$135,000 plus bonus and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
