IDEMIA Road Safety is a global leader in the road safety enforcement market and forms part of IDEMIA Public Security. We deliver innovative solutions with decades of expertise in image acquisition and processing, video analytics, software applications, roadside hardware products, and enforcement systems. We support governments worldwide in keeping their citizens safe with advanced roadside speed and red-light enforcement systems, as well as mobile and fixed devices integrated into large-scale processing back-end systems. As IDEMIA expands into the US market, we are seeking a motivated, independent and technically strong professional to join as our first US-based hire.

 

Position Overview

We are looking for a US-based professional with a strong foundation in software development, notably in C++ and Python, and at least three years of experience in technical project or engineering roles. This role requires autonomy, hands-on problem-solving, and customer interaction. The candidate will provide technical support and diagnostics, oversee deployment and project coordination, and manage key relationships with clients and suppliers. The ideal candidate will be located on the East Coast (preferably New York/New Jersey) but must be flexible to travel across the US.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main technical point of contact in the US for road safety enforcement projects
  • Provide both on-site and remote technical support for roadside speed and red-light enforcement systems including diagnostics and resolution of software, hardware and integration issues
  • Collaborate closely with IDEMIA’s France-based R&D and operations teams to escalate complex technical problems and ensure smooth coordination
  • Manage relationships with clients, partners and suppliers in the US ensuring clear communication, trust and customer satisfaction
  • Participate in the deployment, integration and field testing of IDEMIA’s enforcement solutions to ensure systems are installed and performing effectively
  • Prepare and deliver regular project status updates, technical findings and operational performance reports to headquarters
  • Act as the local face of IDEMIA in the US building credibility with clients such as Vera Mobility and municipal authorities

 

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a US citizen and eligible for required clearances (eQIP)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field
  • Minimum three years of hands-on technical experience including software development in C++ and Python
  • Background in embedded systems, video/image processing, electronics or integrated hardware/software solutions is advantageous
  • Ability to work independently, travel regularly across the US, and represent IDEMIA in front of client

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the road safety, video protection or public safety technology industry
  • Familiarity with field deployment environments, systems installation and operational logistics
  • Demonstrated ability to manage customer success, maintain strong relationships, and act as the trusted technical advisor
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to take initiative and grow into leadership roles as the US business expands
