Responsibilities

We are looking for a customer-focused, technically skilled Integration Engineer to support our Smart Biometrics Business Unit in the US. This role bridges the gap between technical product capabilities and customer requirements, acting as a trusted advisor during pre-sales, proof of concept, and solution design stages. The successful candidate will report to the Client Integration & Support Manager (NORAM) and collaborate closely with the Regional Director of Sales to drive growth and ensure customer satisfaction.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical advisor during sales engagements, supporting the promotion of IDEMIA’s biometric solutions.
  • Provide in-depth product demonstrations, answer technical questions, and highlight competitive differentiators.
  • Lead technical efforts during Proof of Concept (PoC) phases:
    • Interpret and validate customer requirements.
    • Support partners and system integrators with solution setup and implementation.
    • Serve as the primary technical contact throughout the PoC lifecycle.
  • Collaborate on solution architecture and product-fit discussions for customer projects.
  • Present proposed architectures and respond to detailed technical inquiries from stakeholders.
  • Act as the Voice of the Customer, relaying market needs and product feedback to Product Management.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape; advise on necessary product enhancements.
  • Work cross-functionally with support and sales leadership to track and resolve open technical issues impacting customers.
  • Maintain regular activity reports, including weekly and monthly summaries for leadership.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Containerization & Deployment: Basic understanding of Docker deployment and integration; experience in presenting solution block diagrams during technical workshops.
  • Mobile Platforms: Foundational knowledge of Android and iOS kernels; understanding of SDK functionality and integration support workflows.
  • API & Web Integration: Hands-on experience with integration support using APIs, API Keys, and Webhooks.
  • Enterprise Systems Integration: Familiarity with integrating enterprise systems using REST, JSON, SOAP, and Pub/Sub messaging patterns.
  • Security & Identity Management: Conceptual understanding of payment systems, Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, Active Directory, LDAP, and RADIUS protocols.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 12–14 years of relevant experience in a technical role, preferably in pre-sales, integration, or customer support.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex technical discussions.
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Physical and Logical Access Control solutions.
  • Hands-on experience working with Linux-based systems.
  • Prior involvement in biometric technologies is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with working in cross-cultural and international team environments.

Additional Requirements

  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed (domestic and international).
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Self-motivated, accountable, and able to work both independently and within a team.
