Responsibilities

  • Manage the implementation of Supply Chain and Company policies and procedures in pursuit of organizational objectives and Key Results.
  • Develop and/or enhance trusted relationships with IDEMIA suppliers; represent IDEMIA in a professional and ethical manner at all times.
  • Participate in Supplier Agreement compliance and improvement programs.
  • Conduct Supplier Quality and Process audits along with onsite Supplier Source Inspections and manage Third Party Qualification process.
  • Audit the product at the supplier and at the IDEMIA production facility, making sure that it is specification compliant and that the manufacturing process, quality, and packaging can be achieved.
  • Solve manufacturing and field complaints via monitoring and analysis of the quality problems, ensuring that the contingency and definitive measures are implemented assuring process stability and preventing these issues in the future. Apply methods like DOE, 6 Sigma, CEP, etc. to analyze the root causes of complaints.
  • Manage supplier scorecard deployment.
  • Manage the Material Review Board (MRB) and the NCMR, and SCAR processes.
  • Assist Purchasing in the resolution of technical matters and other issues related to the timely ordering and delivery of materials. Recommend technical product improvements evaluating risks and potential chances to avoid quality manufacturing issues, by comparing similar parts assembly line and field development
  • Provide SCM review/approval of ECO’s and procurement documentation for key materials: participate in weekly Configuration Management meetings as necessary.
  • Evaluate the initial samples and/or engineering change requests looking for product specification compliance, assuring the planning timelines correspond to PM guidelines
  • Lead, develop, and coordinate quality-assuring activity/improvement programs/projects with/at suppliers and pursue implementation of identified improvement measures and follow-up action plans to achieve the desired quality requirements and results.
  • Participate in New Product Introduction Process.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Engineering Sciences, Mathematics, Process Engineering, Operations, Business Administration) or equivalent work experience in a Quality related role, preferably manufacturing.
  • Previous experience in one of the following industries preferred: automotive, light industrial, or electronic/mechanical assembly.
  • Experience in manufacturing design and new product introduction process with knowledge in using DFMEA, PFMEA and similar tools desired.
  • Knowledge of ISO or other National/International process & quality standards preferred
  • BB, GB certified or equivalent in Six Sigma and LEAN preferred.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Customer focused, team player, excellent interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to communicate complex topics into a cross-functional environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, Access, Mini-Tab, SAS, and JMP )
  • Ability to prepare and present information to all levels of Management
  • Able to perform well in high-pressure situations

 

Additional Technical Experience - Preferred

  • CQE Certification Certified Quality Engineer
  • PPAP and audit experience
  • Working knowledge in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
  • Expert knowledge in manufacturing processes, ISO-9000, quality control plans and failure analysis or problem solving methodologies.
    Six Sigma certification

 

Travel requirement, such as:

  • Ability to travel to office locations, IDEMIA suppliers, or manufacturing sites up to 50%
  • Must be able to travel occasionally by air as needed to attend training, conferences, supplier locations and related activities.

 

Physical Demands, such as:

  • Office environment where the employee may sit comfortably to do the work.  Some walking, standing, bending, reaching, and carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts; driving an automobile, etc.  Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, and other office equipment.
  • The work requires light physical effort with frequent lifting and/or moving of materials in the 10-30 pound range and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.  Requires manual dexterity and ability to manipulate small objects.  May require normal range of hearing and vision to operate machinery.
