Responsibilities

In addition to regular on call rotation, the Senior Sustaining Engineer will take part in the severity 1 escalation rotation and will be responsible for documenting and reporting on root cause analyses. The Senior Sustaining Engineer can lead technical troubleshooting activities and assign work. They may be assigned special projects to enhance the sustaining engineering’s team capabilities. For any issue the team are unable to fix, the Senior Sustaining Engineer will know who to contact. The Senior Sustaining Engineer may be delegated manager responsibilities when the manager will be away from the office.

 

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $93,440 - $116,813 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years on the job experience, with a college degree in computer science (BA, BS).
  • Requires strong Windows background, with a minimum of 5-years on-the-job experience with installing from scratch the Windows OS, imaging windows boxes and restoring windows boxes from images and applying applications on top of hte Windows OS. 
  • Requires working knowledge of the Linux OS, command line desirable.
  • Requires work experience in supporting Windows clients and servers.
  • Requires work experience within VM and Cloud environments; e.g., VMWare, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), etc.
  • Requires at least 5-years work experience in a high-tech, customer-oriented environment, including managing assigned issues within an issues-tracking system like Sales Force and JIRA.
  • Working knowledge and hands-on experience with RDMS, such as MSSQLServer, MySQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
  • Requires at least 5-years work experience with networks and network devices. 
  • Work experience managing OS patches and Anti-virus updates.
