Responsibilities

A Senior Director of Program Management, you will oversee the execution of large-scale, complex programs within IPS North America, lead cross-functional teams to achieve strategic goals by defining program objectives, manage budgets, timelines, risks, and ensure successful delivery while collaborating with senior leadership to make strategic decisions and continuous improvement within the TSA Universal Enrollment Services Program.  

 

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Program Planning: Defining program scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines in alignment with business strategy, collaborating with stakeholders to establish clear expectations. 
  • Team Leadership: Managing and developing a team of program managers, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and fostering collaboration across diverse functions. 
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Tracking program progress against key metrics, identifying potential risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies, and regularly communicating updates to senior leadership. 
  • Budget Management: Overseeing program budgets, allocating resources effectively, and ensuring cost-efficiency throughout the program lifecycle. 
  • Stakeholder Management: Building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, cross-functional teams, and external partners, to align program goals and address concerns. 
  • Change Management: Leading change initiatives within the program, managing stakeholder expectations, and facilitating smooth transitions during implementation. 
  • Risk Mitigation: Identifying potential risks, developing mitigation plans, and proactively addressing issues to minimize program impact. 
  • Process Improvement: Implementing best practices in program management, identifying opportunities for optimization, and driving continuous improvement across teams. 
  • Talent Development: Coaching and mentoring program managers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team. 

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional experience including 5 years in project/program management in a customer-facing role
  • Extensive program management experience in leading cross-functional teams on multiple complex software development and system integration projects
  • PMP or equivalent certification preferred
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage a geographically distributed or matrix team
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently
  • Prior experience working with state or federal government agencies
  • Excellent internal and external written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications including MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio
  • Demonstrated successful track record delivering complex information technology-based systems
  • Ability to collaborate with and manage vendors as outlined in statement of work
  • A combination of skills and experience that demonstrates your ability to meet the rigors and requirements of the position.
