Responsibilities

The Device Platform Engineering team (Delivery Optimization, IDEMIA Public Security) is building mature CI/CD practices for the fleet of field devices that run enrollment, and we're hiring a hands-on intern to help get there. Our aim is a delivery pipeline where software reaches devices in a fully automated way, every change is validated before it lands, the state of the fleet is continuously visible, and fixes are verified across the fleet rather than assumed. The organizing idea is a maturity climb: we move each piece of work from React (done manually, one device at a time) to Repeat (a documented process a person runs consistently) to Automate (the system runs it without hands) to Optimize (making that automation faster, safer, and self-healing), and you'll help push real work up those rungs. You'll help package software for automated deployment, build the validation that confirms a deployment actually worked, contribute to fleet inventory and drift detection, help verify security fixes across the fleet, and turn manual steps into repeatable automation, learning modern endpoint management, scripting, CI/CD, and security operations along the way, with engineers pairing with you and AI tooling as a baseline part of the work. No prior experience is required; what matters is curiosity, clear communication, and a verification mindset, wanting evidence something did the right thing, not just that it ran. The role is scoped to non-credentialed work, and its projects are meant to become self-sustaining rather than babysat, so you finish with a portfolio of real, demonstrable outcomes.
